Added a video page

As well as adding the forum today, I've also added a video page with an embedded youtube player. It filters my youtube videos and only plays project-specific videos. Check it out on the projects page. Click the video link under the appropriate project. Right now this means the only project, which is OOK. Or click below.

I have finally added the forum. It is an install of the bbPress forum, customized extensively to fit my site. It now is very unified and looks great. Check it out. Register. Post.

ALAS! Yes, that's right! The back story, TYPED!

Almost. I'm about 2/3 of the way through typing up my back story which I have on paper. I'll finish tomorrow and put it up on the site! Soon you guys! Hang in there.

Definitely some progress

What I've been doing recently is mapping out the systems on paper. Previously I had a list of each system and all the entities that will be in it. Now I am mapping the systems on paper in order to more efficiently map them in the 3d environment. I also have someone working on modeling low-poly asteroids for the systems. Progress is being made!

Working on OOK's Website

And actually it's a bit more broad than just OOK. Spiral Nebula Development is what I'll be calling myself. You can check out what I have of the homepage below. You'll see a gallery with placeholder images which are just the background image of the title bar. That will soon automatically pull from many of the screenshots I have taken of project-related works. Below the gallery will be posts from this blog. By using this blog on my home page I can continue to post in one place only and it will be automatically referenced by the SND site.

Also there will be a forum once I finish the rest of the site, and probably I will wait until I have made more progress on the game to put it up. I will be filling out the info and projects section ASAP.

I have not been lazy! I promise.

Despite it being halloween weekend, I have not been too lazy. I have been trouble shooting my code for the iphone engine I am working with. I am still fairly new with C++. This weekend I also learned OOP (Object Oriented Programming) in C++, which is nice. It has helped me already to organize and write the code necessary to continue with my project. You'll see some results soon on my youtube channel.
